Dr. Meffert often accepts patient referrals from primary care providers, specialist physicians and other healthcare providers for psychiatric evaluation, treatment and/or consultation. She also provides medication evaluation and management services for patients receiving psychotherapy from non-prescribing mental health professionals.
Dr. Meffert offers complimentary 10 minute calls with prospective patients to discuss needs and to provide a sense of her general approach and style of interaction. Note the following patient eligibility criteria.
Location. Patient's primary residence must be in California.
Payment Information. The practice does not accept any insurance payments and is not an “in-network” provider for any plans. Many insurance companies offer “out-of-network” benefits, which allow patients to be reimbursed for services. Patients are provided with a bill for services rendered that may submitted to insurance companies. The practice does not handle claims directly.
